About me
Hi! Welcome to my online classroom!
My name is Amalia and I am your teacher. I am a native English speaker from the United Kingdom. I attended school and university in London where I completed my undergraduate degree and Masters and then later went on to obtain an English teaching qualification from Cambridge University. I have been teaching the English language for 15 years! I have worked in schools in the UK and abroad, including language schools, colleges and international schools.
I have now broken away from the mainstream system and teach only one to one online so that I can have a more personalised lesson with my students. I want to give more of my attention and support to students through a more personalised approach, so that lessons can be more fun and effective. That is why I started Bright Speak English.
I myself speak 4 languages, so I know how hard it can be to learn a new language. It can be very frustrating! A good teacher makes a big difference and how the lesson is delivered is super important. I am very friendly and supportive and will guide you every step of the way so you can reach your goals.

How I teach
I offer a free consultation meeting so that we can get to know each other and so that you can ask any questions you may have.
We then make a plan for your English teaching and set some goals which are reviewed every couple of weeks. I always check in with you to see how you feel you are progressing so that we can change things if needed. For parents of children that I am teaching who are under 18, I provide a written a report for your child every month so that you can be clear on their progress.
The lessons are personalised to each student, so depending on you and your goal, we may do more speaking or more grammar and vocabulary or solely focus on writing. That is what we decide in the initial consultation and then review every couple of weeks.
